Nomination of Akira Kawai

Our leader, Akira Kawai, began playing shuffleboard when his mother-in-law, Kieko Sakuta, a 25-time participant in ISA tournaments, encouraged him to join in the 2005 Lakeside Championship, where he discovered his own love for the sport.
His considerable shuffleboard career is as follows, among others:
-having participated in four ISA International Championships
-having been the JNSA president for nine years
-having held four domestic tournaments every year in Japan
-having played shuffleboard for 19 years
In the nine years since Akira assumed the presidency of JNSA in 2015, he has made a significant contribution to the development of ISA and JNSA through his humanity, brilliant ideas, and exceptional leadership.
We collectively and faithfully respect and give absolute trust to him, appreciating all the efforts he has made. Accordingly, I highly recommend Akira Kawai for the ISA Hall of Fame.
Sincerely,
Sachiyo Takada
